Title: Click and slide selection mode
Post by: ccazerty on September 15, 2022, 10:56:24 AM
Hi everyone,

Is there a mode or some preferences with the selection tool, to set the click and slide selection more inclusive ? By default, I have to take the whole objects inside my selection. Is it possible to take all the objects that my selection is touching ?

Thank you very much,

CC

The selection process is actually designed that way on purpose However there is a kind of work around, in the outline window, you can multi select items from the list, by using the shift or ctrl keys while left clicking the items you want.

to be more inclusive, you can press the alt key while selecting...
as usual, starting from an "empty" space.

In KDE the alt key modifier will move the whole window.

nowadays, meta should be the default for moving around the windows.

but there is probably a setting somewhere to switch between alt and meta.

if you're doing graphics work you definitively want to keep alt free for application use and assign the meta key (aka the windows key) to the window manager (kde).
