Still searching for a fix.

The workaround at this time is to rename any font and start Scribus. It starts and appears to run fine.  But after a logout, I can only start it again with the font rename.

Thanks @toyotadesigner !
This is the solution. We can´t make scribus print the guides, but we can easily draw a line, multiply it and arrange it so we achieve the same purpose.

Draw one horizontal line, set the options (length, position, line size -> thickness)
Keep the line selected or select it
Menu -> Item -> Duplicate/Transform -> Multiple Duplicate
Dialog opens
Insert number of lines you want
Insert vertical spacing (gaps)
If you want an even distribution, drag the bottom line to the margin of your page
Select all (cmd+a)
Menu -> Align and Distribute
Dialog opens
Select »Distribute« Tab
Select »Make vertical gaps between items and the top and bottom page margins equal«

Here a free software promoter,
new on the forum and Scribus

Is it possible to print guides?
I am making a calligraphy worksheet and found that the option to custom define guides (for example, I define 52 lines within margins) is very practical for me. I would like this guides to be printed, without me needing to draw lines over each one. Is it possible?

It is simple:

Menu -> Page -> Move will open the dialog

Then select the page range you want to move and where you want to move it.

Hi to all, I am new in Scribus.

how can I move MULTIPLE pages at once ?
one by one is easy, but 10+ pages in a document with 100+ pages is a huge task

Hi Martin, Scribus 2.0 might take a very long time to appear on the market. I am 67 by now…
User Interface / IndigoUI: Dock Manager and Layout Framework
« Last post by tim_occ on August 07, 2022, 01:01:53 am »
Hi all,

I remember a post from MrB expressing his wish that the various docks in Scribus could be arranged side by side.,1617.msg8842/topicseen.html#msg8842

Currently, the standard Qt Dock framework is limited and you can only place (or stack) one panel to the left and one to the right of the central widget, but not several next to it. The same applies to floating docks.

The IndigoUI docking system I developed years ago couldn't do that either. A complete in-house development is probably also not expedient and rather a waste of resources.

In search of an alternative to Scribus I found a solid framework.
See here:

I also started some tests right away and would just suggest this as a useful extension for Scribus.

What do you think?
