Title: how to use character styles
Post by: jack_cat on May 21, 2020, 03:08:07 PM
I would like to ask other Scribus users how they use character styles.
I have been using only the paragraph styles, and changing the font or style of individual words
by means of either the story editor or the Properties window. What am I missing here?

thanks
jack

I found this helpful when working with colours. For example, if all of the text is dark grey in colour, set the default character style to dark grey and then just choose that as the default base for your individual paragraph styles - saved time when working with several colours.
Can also be used for formatting words and phrases within a text box that is defined by a specific paragraph style - helpful if the same formatting occurs in several places.
