Title: Can't find alternate glyphs on scribus
Post by: gagcroq on November 15, 2023, 06:10:19 PM
Hi !

I just bought a Candelas plus font, with alternate glyphs that are supposed to work at least on illustrator, photoshop or adobe edition.
I've tried to use them on scribus, I've found glyphs linked to this font (by going to insert - caracters - glyphs) but I haven't found the alternate glyphs I'm looking for.

Do you know if I could get access to all of the alternate glyphs of this fount via scribus ?

Thanks a lot,

Gag

Candelas or do you mean Calendas. If the former can you  provide link to where you got it from?

there seems to be a feature request for it:

Give users access to the OpenType feature "Contextual Alternates" (calt) (https://bugs.scribus.net/view.php?id=15490)

What font type is it, ttf, otf, type 1, etc... you might try using a free online font converter to change it say from otf to ttf and see if that works. Just a suggestion, not sure if a solution.

Cheers!
