Title: color and filling
Post by: renato07 on December 30, 2023, 06:53:37 PM
Hi,
I need to made a little space (2 or 3 pixel) coulured to divide the page where I work on. On the help menu, I've found that in menu "modify" I could find the entry "color and filling" I've used it, I made my little Rectangle that I would fill with the color I've selected. But it doesn't works...I'm not sure that the filling are possible in Scribus (like other graphical program).

Can I do that? Or do I have to made it as image and then import it?

Thank you

Renato

There are two options for coloring a graphic object in scribus. One is the stroke, the outside border, the other is the fill. Have you selected the correct tab?

Thank you

Here is a screenshot of Fill and Stroke tabs in the color options for a selected object.
I'm thinking that you have selected the stroke option which is why your object isnt being filled with a color or colors.
This  is the same for shapes and polygons as well.
