Title: rotate text precisely?
Post by: carilchasens on October 19, 2014, 12:52:13 AM
I need to rotate a text box 90 degrees, and have the text rotate. Using the rotate tool, the text comes along, but I am finding it very hard to get the precise angle. Using the properties palette, the angle is precise, but the damn text is not rotating with the box. Suggestions very much appreciated!

Sometimes the text doesn't always rotate when you rotate a text frame using the Properties rotation - for some reason (it's a bug and not something you're doing wrong) - but if you click somewhere else on the document it should "spring round" to the frame's rotation.

Otherwise you could keep CTRL held down when you rotate and this will constrain the rotation to 15-degree steps (unless you change the rotation constraint in "Preferences/Tools/Other Properties").
