Title: Error writing output file, export to tiff
Post by: abend on March 31, 2021, 02:14:14 AM
Version 1.5.6.1
Windows 7 64-bit

I set up a page with three images, each 4800 DPI, approximately 500 MB.
One image is 12.5" x 12.5".  The other two are each 5.8".

I tried to export to "tiff".
I could not get DPI higher than 2400.
Working set went to 4.7 GB (computer memory is nominal 6 GB), then message "Error writing the output file".

Did I hit a limitation, or is that a bug?

Hello abend, just out of curiosity why do you need 4800 dpi? Is this just a test of sorts? Is the final tiff for digital or offset printing?

yes, with your 3.6-giga-px image you went at least over all limits of sanity...
