Title: <next_record> in scribus generator question
Post by: GnKnG on November 20, 2020, 02:08:38 pm
Hello Scribus!

could anybody help me out with a concept question regarding scribus generator? ;
Example:
assuming I have a .csv for standard address on a classic mail-merge style letter,

STREET,CITY,ZIP
somewhere,someplace,101
somewhere_else,another_place,102

If rewrote the .csv as e.g.;

TEXT_LINE
somewhere
someplace
101
somewhere_else
another_place
102

could I  then use the <next_record> argument with scribus generator to get the same result as 'classic-merge'?  > ie, with the template .sla as

%VAR_TEXT_LINE%
<next_record>
%VAR_TEXT_LINE%
<next_record>
%VAR_TEXT_LINE%
<next_record>
%VAR_TEXT_LINE%
<next_record>
%VAR_TEXT_LINE%
<next_record>
.....ect

??

Much thanks for any guidance
