Title: image frame features
Post by: StephanP on February 25, 2022, 09:44:20 AM
I'm trying to figure out the capabilities of image frames.
Can I do the following and if so, how?
- insert a photo (ok, that's straightforward)
- size/zoom the photo within the image frame
- reposition the zoomed photo within the image frame
- so that the image frame acts as a cropping mask for the photo

hi stephan

yes, that's the standard workflow.
how did you work with images before?

Perfect!
I'd just found out myself as well.
Actually quite straightforward.

Is there a way to automatically have a bounding box around an image frame that enforces a small space, e.g. 2 px, around the image frame?

What I am doing right now is putting a text frame (text flow around frame, but no text) and then an image frame on top of it.

hi rocking

in the 'shape' tab of 'properties' you can select the 'contour line' as the reference for the text flow. in the same tab you find an 'edit' button. here you may edit the contour line (after clicking the respective box...)
