Title: A script to generate animated text
Post by: sonejostudios on March 16, 2021, 12:12:51 AM
Hello everyone,

I just released a Scribus script to generate a "growing text" animation for video editing. Have a look here:

All the best,

Thank you for this script. Although Scribus is primarily for creating static printed documents I can see a use for this script for creating tutorials.  A series of mini clips.
This is an improvement on posting screencasts in YouTube.
The only issue I would raise is that it would benefit from themes being applied
to colour the text (e.g. in programming).
And perhaps add overlay popups (using layers) to add comments as the code is being written.
This shows that Scribus engine has other novel uses than layout of documents for printing.
