usually this sort of things happen, when a file was generated in a5 and later changed to a4, without checking the box to 'apply changes to all master pages'.

Yes, 1 sheet. My bad English translation.
"One page" thing could be head-to-head imposed pages so printer can print half run on double sized paper, then cut everything in half to get full number of copies.
As far as boxes, perhaps OP didn't put trim marks.

When I insert a page, although it says the page is going to be A4, it's actually A5 when it's inserted. I can change it to A4, of course.

A 4 page booklet may be one sheet, but it is two pages (one on each side of the sheet).

The specification references here says the file must have exactly one page, so there must be some misunderstanding between the OP and the printer. If it is supposed to be a booklet, they should not use this profile (which is only for one page).

I also find it very strange they do not allow both a Trimbox and an Artbox.

4 pages IS one page folded in the middle printed on both sides - this is how printers think & that is how I send them - already impositioned PDF - outside 4-1, inside 2-3.
IMHO, only 4 pages - text should be converted to outlines - no font problems.
Anyway, I never use fonts with TT outlines when there is PS version of the same fonts. Fonts are designed using PS and at the converted to TT.
Finally pdf, if possible should be created with A.obe PDF driver, meaning A.obe Acrobat.

Yes, there have been posts in the past where people just wrote a # to get page number.

User Interface / Indigo UI: Outline Palette
Last post by tim_occ - November 30, 2024, 08:13:05 PM
Hi all,

I've been thinking about some changes to the outline palette.

In my opinion, the current Outliner is missing some functions that would give the user a better overview of all objects.

New:
- Master pages and document pages are organized into sections
- Each page object shows information about the layer, locking status and visibility in PDF documents
- Visibility and locking status, as well as the object name, can be changed in the Outliner
- The filter filters the list by object types, such as text, images or vector path objects

Any other ideas about what is missing or would be useful?

ok. the scribus help may be a bit outdated. but just putting a '#' in a text frame on a master page to get automatic pagination is an extremely free interpretation of it – but a possible one...

hi zenny

depending on the .pdf you may keep the vector graphics.
an imported .pdf file is a group of items. you need to ungroup them (sometimes you have to do this more than one time) to reach the desired sub-group or single item...
