Title: Problems importing PDF as image
Post by: sjakkfor on May 16, 2011, 12:11:13 PM
Dear all,

I tried adding an image frame and import a PDF (different sizes and versions), but the image won't display, neither on the screen or in the published version. When I right click the frame and click on "information", it displays information about the .pdf, such as dimensions, filename etc, but when I try to export the document, I get "missing image".

Could this be a bug, or am I not doing it correctly?

I'm currently using 1.3.3.14 (Windows).

Could you try a newer version of Scribus, e.g. 1.4.0rc4 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/scribus/files/scribus-devel/1.4.0.rc4/)? (But backup your files first, since saving them with 1.4.x makes 1.3.x unable to open them).

Also, just an idea, did you try putting PDF file directly on C:\ and try to load it from there?

Do you have Ghostscript installed and correctly found by Scribus?

Because as far as I know on screen preview of PDF is done using Ghostscript.
