Automate ToC

Previous topic - Next topic

One of the things that make scribus unattractive is how you have to make ToC's for complex documents. InDesign and MS Word work with automatic generated ToC's based on the paragraph styles. If you change the name of a chapter, it automatically changes its name in the ToC.
When you change the name of a chapter in Scribus, you also have to change the attribute of that chapter.
It realy makes Scribus more attractive to users when you make the ToC script like other programs. It also helps creating levels in your ToC because you can link it to more than one paragraphstyle. I will add the InDesign settingsframe for ToC, just for inspiration.
