[SOLVED] Color of text selection is white, how to change?

Hey folks, selected text is white. How do I change that to maybe blue, like in most videos seen? thanks in advance. (no need for text background or highlight, just selection color)

PatJr

try F3 and make direct fine-tuning adjustments
but that is kind of a brute force method and defining a style could be a little more flexible

Jokel

Thanks. F3 does not work for me. I am on a Mac. F3 is for desktop stuff.

PatJr

OK, on the menu bar
Windows>Content Properties

Jokel

thanks. the issue is the color of the text election. when electing text with the cursor, normally it is highlighted with a color. the videos I have seen most users highlight color is blue. mine is white. this makes it kind of unusable as the page background is also white. where is the setting to adjust the color of the selected text?

PatJr

oh
dunno, try changing the ui theme
File>Preferences>User Interface
under Appearance try a different Theme

Jokel

thanks, themes did not affect selection color

hi jokel

on mac os the selection color is taken from the os settings. there is no entry in the scribus color settings. (i didn't realise this – and i find it a bit strange...)

Jokel

thank you, can#t find settings for that in the OS, guess I have to live with it.

utnik

hi jokel

you should find it under 'system settings' or 'system preferences' (depending on the os version) → 'appeaerance' → 'highlight color'.

Thank you! that did the trick. I changed it back and forth. and it works. have a nice day!
