Thanks very much for your script: it works quite nice on all my book  ;D

I have added a style for setting the header, otherwise it takes the default style, which is not good.

There is a little bug too: when there are more than one page in a chapter, the heading is lost and nothing is written in the header. I did not search more for fixing it...

Here below your script with my fix (I gziped it, because I can't join a Python script :( )
