Opentype not fully supported (Inkscape is better than Scribus)
« on: November 17, 2022, 07:40:51 pm »
Hello,

I updated to 1.5.8 and OpenType is still not fully supported. OpenType fonts work better in Inkscape than in Scribus! Inkscape is better than Scribus in this regard, but that is not what Inkscape is supposed to be used for.

In Scribus, small caps, certain ligatures and stylistic sets, for example, work, but character variants, and options such as swsh (swash caps), are not even present in Scribus (they work in Inkscape and in LibreOffice).

Is Inkscape being better than Scribus at OpenType intentional?
