Several page variations in single document

Hi,
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I'm formatting a book layout and I need to produce two different versions where there is only a single page difference between the two versions, the remaining pages are identical. Is there a way to handle this elegantly in Scribus without duplicating the .sla file and manually keeping the common pages in sync? I would prefer not to duplicate pages.

Thanks!

Why not create a document with both variants of the page and after PDF creation use a PDF utility to remove one of the pages for each copy?

There is no problem in Scribus to for example have two right-hand pages after eachother.

I guess you can also use layers, and toggle printability for the layers for each export. The disadvantage with this method is that it may not be obvious for someone editing the Scribus document that there is an "invisible" layer.

Thank you, using layers (with descriptive names) to create variations on a page works for me.
