Scribus 1.5.4 on iMac running OS 10.11.6
Hello
Is there any chance that Scribus will offer export to the PDF/A formats? I believe they are pdf/a-1; pdf/a-2; and pdfa/3 at this time. As a genealogist I produce some work that I would like to preserve with the archival conformance of these file types.
Thanks
Kayce

the development version, scribus 1.5, does export to x-1a.
i'm not sure about the support in 1.4.

PDF/X and PDF/A are two different specifications. At the moment the Scribus team had no opportunity to look at a PDF/A specification, so the chance for us to implement PDF/A support in the short term is currently low.

scribus has been developed to generate high quality print pdf files – and this is still the main task of the program.
but there are free online pdf-to-pdf/a generators.
