Book Layout

Hello Everyone,

I am new here; using Scribus 1.4.8 -- looking for help.

I am trying to layout a 250-page book. So I have created Left and Right Interior Master pages after manually setting margins fonts, text frames, and a horizontal guide at the top of the page inside of top margin.
Now after setting the first twenty pages manually and confirming X, Y, Z properties  I wanted to insert 230 more pages. However when I do that my text frames go and snap to top margin even though 'snap to margin' is not selected. Ideally, the top of the text frame should be 0.2" below the top margin (the horizontal guide is set at 0.2" below top margin)

Can someone please tell me what I may be doing wrong.
Thank you

i would recommend 1.6.2 – but this won't solve your problem...

there is no 'snap to margin'. the margins are treated as guides. if 'snap to guides' is checked, items will snap to the margins as well as to your separate guide 0.2" below the top margin.
(if you use 'automatic text frames', they will always be created to the margins.)
