Imposition Questions: Laidout, Bookbinder, Sejda?

I'm new to Scribus (v 1.4.8 on Linux) and have modest experience using Quark and Indesign.  I am producing a series of non-standard sized booklets ranging from 24-48 pages which I design in spreads (double-sided), usually with bleeds.  I've been able to navigate Scribus basics--gleaning good tips here on the forum (thank you!). But I struggle with simple n-up imposition:

*Laidout (0.97) - Seemed promising.  I installed but none of the Scibus scripts worked for me in1.4.8, despite tweaks.
*Bookbinder - ran, but not a solution as it could not handle bleeds
*jPDFTweak -- this worked, but final output page size never matched the page size set in Shuffle menu...

In the end, I've created print-ready PDFs for using jPDFTweak and Acrobat Pro (to resize final page size).   I do not want to use Acrobat at all in future.

My questions:
*Are Laidout scripts working for anyone using current versions of Scribus?
*Can anyone using jPDFTweak for imposition offer their experience and tips?
*Has anyone had experience here using Sejda for imposition?

Delivering print ready files is standard requirement for nearly all on-demand printing companies nowadays.  It would be great if Scribus got us a bit closer handling basic imposition needs.

Thanks!

Good day solitude,

I have used with success, I have not tried sedja, but looks promising. I think I will try the free trial on it, always good to have more than one tool in the toolbox.
