How display image bounded by oval frame

Hi!

Grateful for the help and guidance of the forum members to resolve my query.

I know how to insert a rectangular image frame and import an image from file. Then how to manipulate the image and image frame to get the size I want.

All good and dandy.

Now I want to display an image not bound by a rectangular image frame but by an elliptical or oval one.

I've tried using Default shapes, manipulating the circle one and then converting it to an image frame and that is where I get stuck.

Am I going about it in the right way or should I be using a different approach?

Please lighten my darkness.

if you have converted your oval to an image frame, you can simply load the image into the frame as you would do with a normal image frame...

where are you stuck?

Thank you A.L.E.

Worked a treat.

The learning point for me is not to stay up so late that you my brain stops working. For some strange reason I was trying to drag and drop the image rather than load the image in the way I had already done from the rectangular image frame. DOH!

Again many thanks from a grateful Newbie to Scribus.

it should also work per drag and drop...

it depends a bit on your OS / window manager and the file manager you're using, but there are several combination of them that do work.
