I am a Mac user (OSX Yosemite 10.9.2) and as a pensioner in my seventies have great difficulty in understanding many aspects of downloading programmes. Now that my old Quarkxpress Passport is ten years old (I got it when I retired) Quark tell me I cannot use it so I have installed Scribus 1.4.4, which is telling me I need to install ghostscript. I have found and downloaded (I think) version 9.15 and the file includes folders from arch to win32. What I cannot find is the application to install, what is it called and where do I find it?
Scribus help states "In case gs has been installed on your computer, but Scribus can’t find it, you can add the path to the gs executable file in the Scribus Preferences.” But where do I find the path in the preferences which lists folders from General to Scripter and what is the executable file?
