Preflight verifier flags SVG images

<< < (2/2)

That's why I always put the bitmap image in a separate layer when I do stuff like that, that way it is easy to delete it.

It sure worked! I now realize that my mistake in dealing with these images has been not to delete the bitmap layer or to delete the wrong layer. Unfortunately, the Inkscape documentation isn't  quite clear on this detail, as far as I can remember.

The funny thing is that I have printed several Scribus documents containing svg images with this problem, and yet the printing quality has been good. But I suppose it is always more reliable to work with a purely vectorial svg image.

I suggest Scribus docs on svg should carry a warning about this, so others don't make the same mistake.

Thanks a lot, folks.

If course the printing turns out good, the low resolution bitmap is hidden behind the vector graphics.
