Title: Convert to PDF - not run from Scribus
Post by: jvr14115 on November 24, 2017, 11:51:38 am
Is there anyway to convert a .sla file to a .pdf directly from the windows or python command line.
(Not from Scribus command line!)
I need this conversion to be done without the user first having to open Scribus at all.

Thanks in advance!

have you  googled for "scribus command line"?

https://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Command_line_scripts

this is a bash script i'm using to create A4 PDFs out of A6 scribus files:

https://github.com/aoloe/bin_etc/blob/master/scribus-a6-to-a4-pdf.py

there is a neat trick in there to launch the script from the command line and it then calls itself from inside of scribus.

you will probably need a moder development version to get it to work. and it's easier to get  to work on linux or mac os x, rather than on windows.
