Title: text frame with image file name
Post by: keneso on August 01, 2014, 09:11:56 pm
Hi,

I am creating a simple catalogue, with a layout like this:

image (image frame)         image (image frame)         image (image frame)         image (image frame)
img-caption (text frame)    img-caption (text frame)   img-caption (text frame)    img-caption (text frame)

image (image frame)         image (image frame)         image (image frame)         image (image frame)
img-caption (text frame)    img-caption (text frame)   img-caption (text frame)    img-caption (text frame)
....

the caption will be the image's file name, i.e.
IMG_0009.jpg
IMG_0009

Having to insert a couple thousand images, and relative captions, is there a way to fill the text frame when inserting the image?

If programming, i.e. macro is needed please provide me with it as I am not a coder.

Thank you.

I found these 2 scripts, perhaps for Your needs/requirements, scripts will be required modification.

Thank you.

I copy/pasted the codes (tried both on the second link), but I get errors, first one is because I don't know how to give it the folder path, second gives syntax error: unexpected indent line 1.
