Title: Character styles any practical trick
Post by: leaf on July 26, 2013, 10:31:30 AM
Hi,
We all know that the program Scribus does not support import chracter styles from odt files, so...
If is any trick, to Scribus not lost bold, italic and bold italic.
I thought about this:
1. import text witch bold, italic etc
2. find bold and set for bold red color (easy to find in the long text)
3. manually (unfortunately find and replace doesn't works with character styles) set character styles for this bold.
4. set paragraf styles for all text
Does that make sense?
Regards

Hi leaf.

Unfortunately, until Scribus can import character styles (like it can do with paragraph styles) I don't think there's an easy way of doing what you need. I've tried a few different things but nothing works well.

However, if you only need to use paragraph styles you might want to look at http://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Using_the_Text_Filter which might get you some way to what you need.
