Title: Dotted Leaders Not Working?
Post by: LilZebra on July 27, 2016, 02:08:03 PM
I wanted to experiment with dotted leader tabbed table.

The first time it worked, but after editing (moving the tab stop) in Styles the dots don't show up.

I've seen on the Scribus Mailing List from a few years ago someone complained that the exported PDF didn't show the dotted leaders.

Is this a bug?

The ticket you mentioned was marked as fixed for 1.3.6 so - unless it's been "unfixed" since then - I'd say that the problem you're having is something different.

I've just done a quick test creating some text with some tabs in, creating a style with a tab stop as dotted, applying the style, then editing the style - moving the stop, changing the filler, etc. - and it worked as I'd expect. I tried a few ways to "break" it but it seems to work for me.

Can you give a specific workflow that can be precisely followed to replicate the problem?

I was working on learning how to style text using the new Table Style feature.

It's frustrating to have to select an individual cell rather than being able to select a whole row and tell it 'Table Body".

So I was testing out the Tabs feature.

Works once when initially opening up a document and then subsequently does not display dots.

The data I was using was in 4 columns, set at 20, 30, and 40 markers.

Ah, I've just noticed that you're using a developmental version of the software. Because of that I can't help you any further in this instance, sorry.
