Title: Bates Numbering
Post by: mnawij on January 21, 2015, 04:15:44 AM
The link is to an inDesign Video regarding continuous numbering or bates numbering.  I would like to know if there is something similar in Scribus as I print on average 6-8 ticket jobs per week in amounts ranging from 100 up to 10,000.  I need to be able to place a number in any position on the document and have it increment by 1 on every new page.

Thank You,

mnawij, you might like to try looking at the various suggestions noted here: http://forums.scribus.net/index.php/topic,1274.0.html

The right solution depends on what your exact requirements are but I think you should be able to get some ideas.

Thank you GarryP, those links are a starting point, but some sort of dedicated numbering system would be very beneficial.  I do several printing projects that require numbering, tickets, labels, receipts, etc... on a weekly, if not a daily basis and these all are a bit on the tedious side.  It's days like this that I wish I could program, then I could do it. Cheers. ;D
