Title: import .idml
Post by: lapin on October 15, 2011, 02:59:36 PM
goal: edit my "old" InDesign files
on the web I found this quote: "An import filter for InDesign IDML files has been added to the experimental 1.5svn version, but it can't be backported to 1.3.8+."
(here: http://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/FAQ:_Adding_Content (http://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/FAQ:_Adding_Content))
So far I installed the (unstable) Version 1.4.0.rc2 - thus, the import filter should be applicable
question: HOW can I import the appropriate filter and WHERE can I get it from?
would be extremely happy to get a hint

...is not the same as 1.4.rc2  ;)
AFAIK, the 1.4.x branch does not yet have support for importing .idml files.

well... wishful reading this was...
so comes the next question: how to install the 1.5 svn version?!
from what I could google it seems not being as easy as installing the 1.4 version!
is there a script I can run on my terminal?
my built is  Mint-11
thanks again for the answer (  ::) )
