Title: Warning that disk image is damaged and may damage system
Post by: nigelmarks on November 21, 2011, 09:32:06 AM
Dear Scribus Users,

I downloaded the DMG for OSX (Scribu_1.4.0.rc6_tiger_intel.dmg)
only to receive the scary warning ...

"The disk image you are opening may be damage and could
damage your system: Are you sure you want to open this
disk image"

Naturally I answered "Don't Open".

I am running Leopard (OSX 10.5.8) on a MacBook.

Does anyone have any suggestions or experience regarding this
message (which, in all my years of using Mac's I have never seen).

Thanks,
Nigel

hello nigel

i installed scribus from this strange dmg-file on two macs under osx 10.6.8 - everything works well.
the only problem is the warning and a strange look of the open virtual volume...

hi

there is an error in the way the .dmg has been built, but its content is ok.

just ignore -- for this time -- the warning.

... the next .dmg will be correct!
