Title: Unlink text frames but leave text
Post by: mikolaskova on March 10, 2017, 02:32:21 PM
Hello,

I entered a long text to my scribus document and distributed it to several linked textframes.
Is there a possibility howto unlink them, but leave the text in the frames it is now?

Best regards,

Adriana

Adriana, unfortunately it's not possible to unlink the frames without removing the text from the previously linked frames. The text is actually held in the first frame in the chain so it's not actually part of the linked frames, it just sort of flows into them where it can.

I have no idea if this will be a feature in versions after 1.4.6 but I cannot see it coming any time soon as it's not something that a lot of people would want. That's as far as I know of course, maybe there are lots of people out there who want exactly that sort of thing.

thanks! So another reason to install and use scribus-ng...(I didn't realize- read- that I can run them both)

Ciao!
