Title: The Elvis Today Blog Volume 2 - 300+ pages pocket book
Post by: oscillator on November 14, 2012, 03:45:56 PM
I've just got my first Scribus book project in return from the printer (print-on-demand using Blurb.com). It's a pocket book (328 pages) with a color cover.

I have only used free open source software during the production:
- Ubuntu
- LibreOffice
- Scribus
- Inkscape
- GIMP
- ghostscript
- Xournal
- DejaVu fonts

The book is part of my Master's thesis titled "Can free software replace proprietary software for graphic production?" which I will finish before Christmas. This will include the workflow and experience gained during the project.
