Title: How to install a plugin
Post by: roo on February 16, 2012, 04:32:25 AM
Hi,

I am pretty much a newbie to Scribus and to a lesser extent Linux as an OS.  I am trying to install a plugin script (which is in py format) into scribus.  After searching the internet for some time I have not found any straight forward explanation on how to add a plugin to scribus.  I am using version 1.4.0.rc3.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

James.

I think you just drop it in the scripts folder (that folder is chosen in the setup, I don't know if there is a default for it).

as far as a i know there are no plugins which are not distributed by default with scribus itself...

do you want to run a script?

Hi,

Just installed Scribus on Mac  OS X Mavericks - some issues.

I see a list of plugins - fine.  However, nearly all of the import plugins are disabled.   So - how do I enable them?

I also can't see various features such as insert shapes - they are there but not visible.

Any suggestions anyone, please?

Cheers,

Mike
