Title: File exchange with Inkscape that preserves layers?
Post by: Pshem on November 18, 2015, 04:36:23 PM
Is there a way to exchange files with Inkscape in a way that layers got preserved? Currently I can't do all the tasks within single app - it could work with both Scribus and Inkscape.... given I find a way to move projects between the two.

Not sure the state of ORA (Open Raster format) these days but I'm skeptical that all layer info will import correctly in to Scribus.

ora is for... raster images :-)

question: what's the use case and the problem to be solved?

it might be easy to add support for layers in svg, but i don't get what it could be good for (except if you want to use scribus for vector graphics...)
