Title: how to use "copy item properties"?
Post by: harinezumi on November 25, 2016, 11:48:39 AM
Hello, I can't get to make "Copy item properties" to work (between text frames). What's the procedure?
I tested to select the source frame, pick the command then select the targets, then I tested the opposite but nothing works for me (1.5.2).
No help on the subject.
Thank you

I think you're just getting things a bit confused.

The "properties" of a frame don't include the styles/formatting of the text in the frame. The "properties" of a frame are things like fill colour, line width, etc. (See: http://forums.scribus.net/index.php/topic,1728.msg10312/topicseen.html#msg10312 for my answer about text styles.)

When you copy the "properties" of a text frame and apply them to another frame you are copying the "look" of the frame, not the contents or the formatting of those contents. That's probably why nothing changes; you're copying the look of one frame to another which looks the same anyway, so nothing looks like it has changed.
