Title: [Solved] I cannot edit an old Scribus document
Post by: cscj01 on July 22, 2016, 06:14:45 AM
I have Ubuntu 14.04.4 and Scribus 1.4.6.  I created a document 5 years ago and need to create another which is identical except for the date.  The only problem is, I cannot edit any of the text in this document.  I don't know how I created the text without a text frame, but there seems to be none.  Would someone look at this document and tell me why I cannot edit it?  Many thanks for your help.

hi cscj01

you locked the layer 'background' (wich is in the foreground).
just open the 'layers' palette and unlock the layer and your text frames will be accessible again.

Thank you.  I thought I had checked the layers, but I was mistaken.  Always look for the obvious first. Duh!  BTW, how do I mark this as solved?
