Beginner Talk / Re: Edit text seems not be possible in a group of text container

once you have alt-selected the item in the group, you can also press the E key to enter the edit mode... if you need the formatting from the properties palette...

but, in this case, the story editor is not a bad choice either.

Thanks so much, with Alt I can select the group, and then call the prompt for the full text editor (more secure than directly editing the text ouside the text editor).

Thanks so much !

with alt-double-click you can edit one item in a group...

it's mostly not so a good idea to use this too often, but -- from time to time -- it can be handy.

I noticed that if I group for exemple 2 text container, I cannot edit text in any container without ungrouping it.
Do you know of I can go into a group structure to edit text?

Because I wanted to share with my readership a sample of the future book, I realized it would be just fine to share it also with you in order to get a glance on what is achievable.

It is not in English, is in Romanian, but non the less this is the output. All was done with the 1.5.3 trunk version.

Big thanks to the developers.

a good set of character and paragraph styles can help you replace the search and replace...

Indeed, this is the right solution for my case. Thank you.

I would love to have something to make rules, just as in case of formating, to get automatic replacing of marked up text fragments. And this would be the proper moment to regret, I don't know Python...
In any case, a Grep search tot the Find / Replace functionality would be so welcomed.

P.S. This should be closed.

Go to File -> Document Setup -> Sections -> and in the field FROM insert 2 or from what page numeber do you want to start. You may also have a look here, it is explained better
https://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Help:Manual_Pagenumbering
you should apply a different page master to the cover, if it's useful I attach a test file
