Title: Export PDF for 20% Dot Gain
Post by: zerubbabel on May 17, 2019, 09:52:46 AM
Is it possible in Scribus to generate a pdf with compensation for 20% dot gain, for web press printing? If so, how? I am fighting an uphill battle to get people in my organization to move from InDesign to Scribus, but the ability to produce pdfs suitable for web-press printing is a greater obstacle than mere user-interface preferences...

i'm not a color expert, but i did a bit of (internet) research for you:

- you might be able to tweak the frequency in the fields enabled by "use custom rendering settings" in the color tab of the export to pdf
- you can use an icc color profile that sets the dot gain

can you please give feedback, if one of these solutions does work for you?
