Title: Page Management
Post by: dave61430 on February 14, 2013, 11:36:39 PM
Trying to work through the tutorials and have 2 problems:
1. I cannot find any reference to left and right page when creating master page, tutorial mentions drop down list
2. Cannot insert page numbering that works per tutorial, tutorial says Ctrl+Shift+3, inserts 3 which does not default to page number, # character doesn't work, Ctrl+Shift+Alt+P does work and numbers all pages. So does Insert Character/Page Number and despite description, is ok for pages past 10. It displays a # character, but typing that same character doesn't work.

I assume vertical text alignment isn't possible directly in Scribus.

Most tutorials are old, Scribus has changed a bit.

Can you read and understand more or less German, when assisted by pictures?

The left/right page thing only shows on two page layout. Makes sense, but tutorial didn't indicate this.
I'm quite happy with using character/insert page number.
I'm still plugging away, the way Scribus handles Master Pages is an improvement over my current publisher.
