Title: Can Scribus for MAC open documents created by Scribus for Windows?
Post by: scmooney on June 21, 2018, 06:19:15 PM
Hi. My PC died and I am thinking of switching to MAC. But, I have many documents I created using Scribus on my old Windows PC. Will Scribus for MAC successfully open and work with these documents? Has anyone ever done this before? Thanks.

hi scmooney

i had a lot of .sla files created under windows on my mac. the only problems will be font related – at least if you used microsoft standard fonts.
(you have to copy them with your projects...)

Thanks, utnik. This is very good news. I think I can negotiate the font issue OK
