Hello!
I just discovered scribus and it's exactly what I was looking for!!!!!
my editor says me to use these settings :
6x9 inches (15x23 cm)
Hardcover, ImageWrap
Standard Trade Paper, matte finish
40 pages
Page Specifications Centimeters
Final, exported PDF should measure (w x h) 15.557 x 23.495
Page size / trim line (w x h) 15.24 x 22.861
Bleed (top, bottom, and outside edges) 0.317
Inset for Margins / Safe boundary (Top, Bottom, Outside Edge) 0.635
Inset for Margins / Safe boundary (Binding Edge) 1.27
Cover Specifications Centimeters
Final, exported PDF should measure (w x h) 34.289 x 25.047
Total Page size / trim line (w x h) 32.737 x 23.495
Bleed (all edges) 0.776
Flaps (w x h, measured from trim edge to fold) none
Gutter / Spine (w x h) 0.635 x 25.047
Inset for Margins / Safe boundary (from edge of trim) 0.635
so the cover is different from the internal and I have to create only one big page of 32.737cm x 23.495cm then have a document of facing pages (I want to have some pictures overlapping on both pages) starting with the right page
since I want also to export it as pdf/ebook I would like to have this display :
|----------------------------------|
| |
| |
| cover |
| |
|----------------------------------|
|------------------|
| |
| R Page |
| |
|------------------|
|---------------|------------------|
| | |
| | |
| | |
|---------------|------------------|
is it possible? or must I do a cover project, then a internal project and merge the resulting pdfs?
thanks and regards!
i scribus you can have pages of different sizes, so you should be able to create the project in one file.
but, since the cover is very different from the content, i would probably create two files and send to pdfs to the print shop. if they allow it.
