Title: printing with scribus
Post by: Raymond McInnis on June 03, 2011, 03:54:45 PM
folks, i have a hp officejet pro 85 printer. when printing my scribus pages, it works fine, automatically printing out pages in 1,2,3 order, on both sides of each page.

here's my question: can i turn this command off, and print "one side only" for editing? I have checked the pittman-schaefer manual, but don't find anything there. have not checked online help thoroughly though.

additional info:  -- i am working on a book: each page has two columns, left side justified, but ragged right, and lots of illustrations, but i don't think that this format dictates how printing should occur

any help is appreciated

Hi Raymond, I have a couple thoughts on this: (1) printing directly from Scribus is not a good idea. I would suggest that you export your document to .pdf and then print from Acrobat or some other .pdf viewer. (2) When the "print" dialog comes up, go to properties and make sure 2-sided printing is disabled.
