Title: Insight into import svg
Post by: Zceebee on September 14, 2017, 07:17:34 PM
Hello,

I could use some help understanding the import svg function. When I tried to import an svg file created with Inkscape, I get a blank image as the result. If I use the open file feature, the artwork is opened in Scribus.

In the imported file, I am able to ungroup and see all of the objects as outlines only, no color fill or other information is there. If i double click any of these objects, I can see a path and not sure if there is something I need to do to the path. Is there something I need to do in Inkscape for saving as an svg for import into Scibus so the objects are shown?

If I use the Open feature however, the file opens in Scribus. I'm a little confused by these things and want to send my thanks in advance for any clarity someone brings.
