Title: EPS looks blurry??
Post by: kastraver on April 02, 2015, 11:27:14 AM
Hi there,

I'm super unbelievably new, but I know an EPS logo should work on Scribus, but the one I want to use (which is the only one I have) says that the colorspace is unknown and then turns up blurry. What can I do? I can't create my own EPS file as I don't have the programme for it nor the font.

Thanks,
so new

Hello kastraver.

When Scribus loads an EPS into an image frame it creates a bitmap image to display on-screen in the frame instead of the EPS itself (probably to make drawing quicker). This means that the art will look fuzzy on-screen within Scribus but if you create a PDF the art should look right.

This isn't an ideal situation.

I'd recommend using a vector application/service to convert your EPG to an SVG which Scribus can handle more usefully.
