Title: How do you submit something to success stories?
Post by: midnightvisions on April 28, 2011, 10:17:53 PM
Hello,

I finished writing a book with Scribus (started with 1.3.3 and ended with 1.4.0 four years later) and would like to add it to the success stories.  How do I do that?

you'll need an account for the scribus wiki.

read the section "new scribus users" on http://wiki.scribus.net

I read it, but perhaps that information was edited out, there's nothing there that I can see applies.

I went to sign in on the wiki page, but get the message that I'm not an administrator, and can't change anything.

I assumed that I have to submit my info to someone who is an administrator?

When you got to the sign in (login) page http://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Special:UserLogin (http://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Special:UserLogin) there was the following text there:

"Log in / Registration

Email wiki_account at scribus.info to request a new account."

Please tell us which part you found confusing.

I think the part that is misleading is:

Don't have an account? Create an account.

Usually when there is a link to create an account people believe that link is what they are supposed to use.
