All the FreeSans and FreeSerifs fonts are only in the fonts to outline list, but can not be brought to the fonts to embed list.
I changed all my new work to this fonts, becuse Airal and Times can not be copied from an PDF.
So when I generate a PDF with Arial or Times, a text can not be marked and copied.
Just upgraded from 1.4.6 to 1.4.8 on Ubuntu 16.04, same problem remains
hi founder
i guess that the font is considered as too big to be embedded...
if you go to the preferences, font section, you can uncheck the "subset" option for the font and it i guess that it will be embedded...

This worked.
Now is the question, why is freeserif.ttf with 3,3 MB so huge? The whole Free series has 10,8 MB, several times more, than other font series.
probably because it contains lots of glyphs, for every possible language...
