Title: Save as image with CMYK colourspace
Post by: Boe on March 29, 2014, 02:41:58 PM
I'm trying to save as a PNG image with CMYK colourspace? When I export to 'save as image' the resulting file  defaults to RGB colourspace. I know how to get it to be CMYK for a PDF, but there doesn't appear to be a setting when Exporting to 'Save as Image'.

PNG does not support CMYK. Only RGB. CMYK is in tiff, psd, jpg, cpt etc.
Scribus does not support CMYK when You need export document as image. Only in pdf, ps, eps.

But I suggest 2 solutions.
1. Export document as pdf cmyk and in ghostscript convert pdf in cmyk bitmap.
gs -sDEVICE=tiff32nc -dGraphicsAlphaBits=4 -dTextAlphaBits=4 -r300x300 -sOutputFile=name.tiff ./yourcmyk.pdf

2. Use pdfcreator to convert pdf in cmyk bitmap.
