Linking Images to Text

I have been putting together a book.  I used a photo image for two my section headers.  Right now I use a graphics layer and a text layer.  The disadvantage to this method, I have to manual move the image for each change in text.   :'(

A more efficient work method would be to place the text "image header" text and allow the text to move the image.   Something like this:

blah blah blah
more blahs

MY IMAGE HEADER
2nd section blah blah blah
blah blah bl

So if I added more text above "MY IMAGE HEADER" it flow down the page just like text.  For example:

added more blah text
blah blah blah
more blahs

MY IMAGE HEADER
2nd section blah blah blah
blah blah blah

As simple of a concept this should be, I can't do it in Scribus.   Any ideas suggestions?  I own the official manual and I can't find the suggestion there.

THANKS in advance!

First, I think a quick note about your initial technique - splitting images and text onto different layers - may be of some use to other people who might want to try it. If you do put images and text onto different layers and you need to use the "text flow around" options you should put the images layer above the text layer, otherwise the text won't flow. (You'll also need to make sure the relevant - default - option is checked in the Layers palette.)

As for your question, currently - 1.4.2 - Scribus can't automatically move normal image frames in relation to other frames (or the contents of another frame).

However, there does seem to be something called "inline graphics" - where the image is actually in the text frame - and it's mentioned briefly in the Scribus Manual/Help (under "Working with Text") but I've not been able to use this technique myself. It might just be a Mac thing, or just my setup, or I'm doing it all wrong, but I just can't get it to work. All it does is insert the name of the image file into the text no matter what I try. Does anyone else have this issue or is it just me being an idiot?

[Edit: Sorry; I was being a sort of idiot. You have to cut/copy an image frame - not an image file - and paste it into the text frame. The Help file isn't very clear about this though; it just says "copy the item", which isn't very specific. I hope this edit helps people and stops any confusion I might have caused.]

Your requirement has already been discussed in Mantis (see http://bugs.scribus.net/view.php?id=1099 and http://bugs.scribus.net/view.php?id=1155 for two examples) but I don't know if there are any plans for the future. Maybe a developer could add something here?

Anyway, I hope the "inline" trick works for you and you get it to do what's needed.

[Edit: This seems to be a near duplicate of http://forums.scribus.net/index.php/topic,811.0.html ]
