guides with different colors
« on: October 31, 2018, 07:36:08 pm »
Hi,
I'd like to generate two "types" of guides, and I want to use different colors for these two types.
How can this be achieved?
Many thanks for a hint,
Helmut

no, that's not currently possible in scribus.
i  don't think it would be hard to program it.
can you tell us what the use case is? (that is: the reason why you want to create guides of different colors)

I am revisiting script ScribusGenerator .. found here ..

https://github.com/berteh/ScribusGenerator

and it seems that this script (placed in Scribus scripts folder) can be adapted for purpose of having different document types or "themes" - which OP seems to be requesting.  I can envisage several other usage profiles for ScribusGenerator.

For example, my interest in ScribusGenerator now is to explore using ScribusGenerator to import content and styles from an external ebook and bind the epub content to target frames and styles in Scribus document.
