Image resolution...wrong

Preflight checker with 1.5.3 says image resolution is below 300 DPI, currently 257x257 DPI
Thing is, the original is 350 DPI, turns out actual DPI is less. How to correct this?

Er, help.
cheers

hi les

the 'real' an image is defined by its pixel count in hight and width (i.e. 3000×4000 px).
if the file says: '350 dpi' (ppi would be correct...), this value just tells an application how large it should be scaled.
as you scale your images to fit in your layout design you may end up with a higher or lower resolution. it looks as if you scaled up the image by ~136%. but in many projects 257 ppi may be ok.

Resizing them by x2 seems to have worked.

Thank you, thought I was going to have to redo them :'(
